Privacy Policy

PracTest LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information when you use the PracTest mobile application ("PracTest" or the "App").

By using PracTest, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Automatically at first launch

• Anonymous user ID — When you open the App for the first time, Firebase Authentication automatically assigns you an anonymous user ID. This allows you to use PracTest without creating an account. No personal information is collected at this stage.

When you create an account

• Email address — Collected only when you choose to create an account at the point of purchase. We use your email address to identify your account and, if needed, to help you recover access.

Exam activity data

When you use the App, we store the following information in our database to deliver the App's core functionality:

• Your exam attempts: which exam and question set you started, your progress through it, when you started, and completion status
• Your responses: which answer options you selected and whether they were correct
• Your subscription entitlements: which exams you have unlocked, your subscription status, and when access was granted

All exam activity data is associated with your user ID and stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

PracTest does not collect:

• Your name, phone number, or physical address
• Your location or GPS data
• Device advertising identifiers (no ad SDKs are used)
• Microphone, camera, or contacts data
• Third-party analytics data (we do not use Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar services)
• Payment information — all payments are processed entirely by the platform app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device); PracTest never receives your payment details, Apple ID, or Google account information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Operate the App and deliver its core exam prep features
• Maintain your progress across sessions
• Verify your subscription status and unlock the content you have purchased
• Allow you to recover access to your account if you lose it

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's core function.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

PracTest uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices:

Google Firebase (Authentication and Database)
Firebase provides our authentication system and database infrastructure. Firebase may collect limited technical information (such as IP address and device type) as part of operating these services. Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements and processes purchase verification on our behalf. RevenueCat may collect device metadata (such as device type, operating system version, and app version) for their own analytics and fraud prevention purposes. RevenueCat is governed by its own Privacy Policy, available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store / Google Play Store (Payment Processing)
All in-app purchases are processed entirely by the platform app store on your device — Apple App Store for iOS users, or Google Play Store for Android users. PracTest does not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or Google account information at any point. Apple's handling of your payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy. Google's handling of your payment data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account exists in our system or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account using the in-app option, your personal information and associated exam data are deleted immediately from our systems. If you request account deletion by contacting us at support@practest.app, we will process your request within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days), except where retention is required by law.

Anonymous session data (sessions where no account was created) is not linked to any identifiable individual. We may periodically purge anonymous session data that has been inactive for an extended period at our discretion.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, which is protected by Google's security infrastructure. Access to your data is restricted by security rules that prevent any user from accessing another user's information. Firebase Authentication sessions are stored securely in your device's protected storage (iOS Keychain on iPhone, or Android's equivalent secure credential storage on Android devices).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

PracTest is intended for adults preparing for professional licensing examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your data — You may request a summary of the personal information we hold about you
• Delete your account — You may delete your account and all associated data immediately at any time directly in the App via the menu. Alternatively, you may request account deletion by contacting us at support@practest.app; requests submitted by email will be processed within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days)
• Use the App anonymously — You may use PracTest's free features without creating an account; no personal information is collected in that case

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice within the App. Your continued use of PracTest after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
